The Sabal Solar Canopy
The Sabal Palm is ubiquitous around the stormy areas of the Caribbean for one reason: it is able to withstand the very high winds that would simply unearth other plants.
Similarly, the Sabal Solar Canopy: Up to 32.7kW STC of solar capacity, in a package rated to 180mph+ wind gusts and a single axis tracker that delivers over 2,000kWh/kW, 20% to 30% more energy than conventional canopy systems. This patent-pending system was specifically designed by us for Caribbean customers who have salt-air, high UV exposure profiles.
The canopy suspension is an all-stainless design, with an all aluminum solar panel protective container frame to ride out any storm. The system is made in the USA by our manufacturing division Graystone Gear LLC and shipped as a fully assembled unit to the installation site. Extending 120ft/40m the system has 180 square meters (1,940ft2) of panel exposure area. Two Sabal Solar Canopies mounted end-to-end need only three posts, extending for an amazing 240ft.
